1. Who we are
Alturatech Consultancy Private Limited (called Alturatech, we or us in this policy) is a company registered in Chennai, India. Our registered office is at No 21/22, WeWork Olympia Cyberspace, Guindy Industrial Estate, Chennai City Corporation, Chennai 600032, Tamil Nadu, India, and our company identification number (CIN) is U62099TN2025PTC184600.
We decide why and how the personal data described here is used, so we are responsible for it. The one exception is data we handle for a client while building or supporting their systems. There the client is responsible for the data, and we work on their instructions under our contract with them.
2. What this policy covers
This policy applies to our website, to enquiries you send us, and to calls, emails and meetings with people who may become clients. It does not cover websites run by other companies that we link to.
We handle personal data in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it. We are also preparing for the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and will follow its duties as they come into force.
3. Data we collect
- Details you give us: your name, work email, phone number, company name, the services you are interested in, and anything you write in your message.
- Details from our conversations: notes from calls and emails, and documents you share while we scope a project.
- Details about your visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and when. Server logs collect some of this automatically. Analytics cookies collect more, but only if you accept them. See our Cookie Policy.
- Business records: for clients and suppliers, billing contact details and payment records.
Please do not send passwords, card numbers, government ID numbers or health information through our website or in your first message. When a project needs access to your systems, we will tell you the safe way to share it.
4. Why we use your data
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange a call, including an automatic confirmation email when you send a form. We use your details because you asked us to get in touch, and with your consent.
- To prepare proposals, deliver services and support you as a client, which we need to do to keep our contract with you.
- To send invoices, keep accounting and tax records, and meet other legal duties.
- To keep our website and systems secure and to prevent misuse.
- To learn which pages are useful and improve them, but only if you accept analytics cookies.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use it to send unrelated marketing without your consent, and you can ask us to stop at any time.
5. Who we share it with
We share personal data only where it is needed to do our work.
- Service providers that host our website and systems, send and store email, schedule meetings, manage our records, handle accounting and, if you accept analytics cookies, measure website use. They may use the data only to provide their service to us.
- Professional advisers such as auditors and lawyers, who are bound to keep it confidential.
- Government bodies, courts or regulators, when the law requires us to.
- A buyer or successor, if our business is ever sold or merged, on the basis that your data stays protected.
6. Transfers outside India
Some of our providers store or process data outside India. We transfer personal data abroad only where the law allows it, and we use contracts and security controls to protect it while it is there.
7. How long we keep data
- Enquiries that do not lead to a project: 12 months, then we delete them.
- Client records: for the length of our work together, then for as long as tax, accounting and company law require.
- Website server logs: up to 90 days.
When we no longer need personal data, we delete it or make it anonymous.
8. How we protect it
We use measures such as access controls, encryption in transit and regular software updates, and we give access to personal data only to people who need it for their work. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
9. Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- Tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
- Correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
- Delete data we no longer need.
- Stop using your data where you gave consent, by withdrawing that consent. Withdrawing is as easy as giving consent, and it does not affect what we did before you withdrew.
- Nominate another person to use these rights for you if you die or cannot act for yourself.
To use any of these rights, email info@alturatech.co.in. We may ask you to confirm who you are first. We will reply within 30 days.
10. Complaints
If you have a concern, please write to our Grievance Officer at info@alturatech.co.in. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to resolve it within one month.
If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India once its complaint process is in force, or to the data protection authority where you live.
11. Children
Our services are for businesses and are not aimed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you think a child has sent us data, tell us and we will delete it.
12. If you live outside India
If you contact us from another country, including Kenya, the data protection law there may give you extra rights, for example under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019. We respect those rights where they apply. Use the contact details in this policy and we will handle your request under the law that protects you.
13. Analytics and other third party content
Our fonts are hosted on our own server, so your browser does not contact another company to load them. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics receives information about your visit. Google's own privacy policy explains how it uses that information.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our business or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If a change affects how we use your data in a big way, we will tell you directly.
